Our natto has a distinctive aroma and sticky texture, and is full of umami. We only use soya beans from EU-certified organic farmers. As it is frozen, it should be defrosted in the fridge for half a day to a day before eating.
Although our natto is sold frozen, we manufacture it so that it tastes best after thawing. If you prefer, you can refrigerate the natto for a further 1–3 days after thawing to allow it to mature, which changes the hardness of the beans and the intensity of the aroma.
Mix it with our UMAMI SOY SAUCE or other sauces (e.g. soya sauce, olive oil and salt), sometimes with mustard, and eat it on rice. Some people find it tasty after eating it several times. If you don’t like the stickiness and odour, you can also add it to a miso soup.

To reduce plastic use
In Japan, natto is mostly packaged in plastic containers. After many trials, we have decided to use a paper packaging. Although it inevitably had to contain OPP material, it led to a much reduced use of plastic compared to the plastic containers of ordinary natto.
